About Me
I am a lincolnshire pet photographer based near the heart of the county and specialise in equine photography… until I realised how much I enjoyed capturing images of your canine best friends.
From a very young age I have always been passionate about all animals and also had a variety of pets myself.
I remember taking photos of any animal I could and if there was no animal insight, the photos would have been of the scenery. In 2014, I received my very first camera for Christmas which started all of this off.
One of the biggest reasons behind my business is the loss of my Welsh Section D, Jazz. Losing her was a big loss to me and I will always regret not having enough photos of her to treasure.
Within your photo shoot, I will capture both of your personalities and provide you with memories which can last a lifetime.
Every picture can tell a thousand words

What do I wear?
This is entirely up to you! These photos are yours forever so choose something you love and enjoy wearing. Don’t choose anything you are not happy in as this can ruin the photo. I do recommend trying to wear lighter colours during the winter months or woodland photos as lighting can be darker than normal. Below are a few outfit ideas:
- Long flowing dresses look great in photos, especially whilst cantering!
- We all have our favourite pair of leggings and top which we live in at the yard. Comfort is key!
- A country-style outfit always looks great in photos. Find your shirt, gilet, and boots and rock your photos! If you choose to wear a hat, ensure that it does not sit low on your face as this can often cause shadows.
What does my horse need to wear?
When it comes to choosing your horses outfit, I always think less is best! However, safety is always paramount! Do not remove tack which you know you will need. You always want to be safe and in control.
But a smart bridle or leather headcollar always looks amazing in photos! if you are wanting ridden photos, a smart saddlecloth and, if possible, no martingale is recommended!
Where do we do the photoshoot?
Your photoshoot can be wherever you wish! Here are some ideas where you could have it!
- Your Yard. That’s right, providing your field has a background of fields, hedges, trees, or something plain and appealing to the eye, your field is perfect!
- The beach. This makes a great photoshoot and even better action shots! *Mileage charge will apply*
- The woods. The woods often take a great photo opportunity! Both ridden and on the ground. However, I do recommend that these are done on days which are guaranteed sun as photos look great when the sun is breaking through the trees.
- Arena hire. If you have booked an arena, whether this is for jumping or flatwork, you can have your photoshoot
- Cross-Country Schooling. I can attend your cross-country schooling session to capture all the action during your session.
- Competition/Event
Do we have to ride?
Not at all! My photoshoots are perfect for absolutely any equine owner! Whether they are your gorgeous companion or your best friend in action, I can accommodate for anybody! Sometimes shots on the ground are much more expressive than action photos when riding!
How do I pose for the photo?
Remember, this photoshoot is all about you and a day for you to enjoy, cherish, and remember! Therefore, don’t feel pressured to know how to pose like you are on as catwalk! Often the natural ‘candid’ photos are often the best photos from the shoot!
Instead, relax… take a breath… and enjoy the process.
However, I do recommend having a look through social media, particularly Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration! Don’t hesitate to get in touch with me and explain any ideas you may have. I am always up for a challenge! Alternatively, check out all my socials for ideas too.
What if the weather is bad?
Unfortunately, the weather loves to put a downer on our days, especially when owning horses, especially when we have something exciting planned!
Whilst I do not allow cancellations and refunds four days prior to your photoshoot, I do allow for rescheduling due to the weather. However, this needs to be done 24 hours prior to your shoot or there will be a rescheduling fee.
Sometimes, photoshoots in the rain or wind can add excitement and a whole different aspect and look to our photos! Consider trying something new!
How long do we get for a photoshoot?
For each of my photoshoots, I sent aside two hours to ensure we capture the perfect memories! Sometimes, the photoshoot may not take the full two hours if we are both satisfied with the photos we have got. If the photoshoot runs over, do not panic. I allow 30-minute extra time free of charge!
